A Market Update, a New Cat Cafe, and My Tomato Plant Finally Fruiting

Happy first day of September! Here's a bit of what's going on, in the market and around town.

Central Florida market update

Quick update on what's going on locally. There are more homes on the market right now than we've seen in over ten years, and they're taking longer to sell, usually 60-70 days. For buyers, that means less competition and more room to negotiate on price or ask for repairs. For sellers, prices haven't dropped, they've actually held pretty steady, so you're not losing value, it's just taking a bit longer to find the right buyer.

If you want to know what this looks like for your neighborhood specifically, let me know and I'll send it over. Just reach out.

Local shoutout: Fable's & Fur Cat Cafe

Last week was my wife's birthday, so we celebrated at Fable's & Fur, a brand new cat cafe in Altamonte Springs she's been dying to check out. It's part fantasy themed bookstore, part cat cafe, and completely her thing. We loved how they set up the shop and the cat area, and it made for such a relaxing afternoon. I'd recommend it to anyone in the area who wants to support cat adoption efforts while enjoying a fun, low-key outing.

My tomato plant finally made it

A few months ago I started growing a tomato plant, no bigger than 10 inches tall. After diving into way more tomato research than I expected to, I finally started experimenting with different growing methods, and it's paying off. There's something about growing your own food that makes you appreciate patience. And doing it in the backyard of the home that takes care of my family reminds me how thankful I am that I bought when I did.

Whether you're chasing down a bargain in this market, thinking about listing your place, or just wanted an update on my tomato plant, I'm glad you're here.
